Martijn Groot graduated in September 2001 as a Physical Therapist at Saxion University in Enschede. After graduating he worked at the Hospital Group Twente located in Almelo in The Netherlands for seven years. During that period he worked in several departments as there are Geriatrics, Orthopaedics, Neurology, Trauma and Rehabilitation. He also worked together with the specialist treating diabetic patients. From March 2004 until January 2005 he took a sabbatical and visited Australia, Tasmania, New Zealand, Singapore and Bali. In 2005 he returned to the hospital in Twente and began working on his master's degree for Orthopaedic Manual Therapy at the University of Applied Sciences in Utrecht. He graduated in 2007. In August 2008 he began working in St. Maarten Health Care Clinic (Physical Therapy/ Orthopaedic Manual Therapy) and Medico Carib (Orthopaedic Manual Therapy). |
Debbie Feijen graduated from the Hogeschool Eindhoven with a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy in 1999. She completed her study for Orthopaedic Manual Therapy in Delft/ Utrecht in the Netherlands in 2003. Because of her particular interest in Sports Therapy she attended the International Academy for Sport Science in Gennep (The Netherlands) in 2005 and specialized in active rehabilitation of the spine. Furthermore in 2005 she followed the Bobath (SCI-art) basic course in Pforzheim (Germany), which consists of constraint induced movement therapy for neurological patients. Between 1999-2006 she worked as a Physical Therapist/ Orthopaedic Manual Therapist at a private clinic in Mönchengladbach (Germany). She has been working at St. Maarten Health Care Clinic since 2006 where she also occupies the position as Operational Manager. Besides that she works in the St. Maarten Medical Centre (Hospital) and Medico Carib (Orthopaedic Manual Therapy). |
